Jake S.: So you had a fling with your professor … when did this occur?

Darcy: This was junior year, probably 1996 or so, at a university back east with an American lit professor. A really, really beautiful lady. I dropped the class – I did not stay in the class after this happened.

The way it evolved was, the first project we turned in, I got it back with a giant F on top. Just entire pages X’d out in red. So I was devastated, obviously. I went to see her after class to see what I did wrong. She started to correct it and said, “You know what? I need some time to look at this. I have another class coming in. Why don’t we get together and discuss this?” I made arrangements to meet her in her office. And it just happened in her office. I rewrote the paper, got an A.

Had you ever had sex with a professor before?

No. Sure, I wanted to. I mean, who doesn’t have crushes?

Now did you want to have sex with this particular professor? Had the thought ever entered your mind?

Yeah. I definitely thought she was attractive. But I never would initiate crossing that line.

Did you ever flirt with her? Or did she ever flirt with you?

No. I honestly don’t think so.

So you got an F on the project, then you met her in the office. Who made the first move?

She did.

What did she do?

Something real simple. She was behind the desk; I was in front of the desk. She was doing a diagram on my paper, and then said, “Come around here and look at this” – that type of thing. In retrospect, I think I knew that I really didn’t have to go behind the desk; she could have just turned the paper. But I already had gotten that funny vibe that something was off-kilter. So I moved real close to her – her hair smelled really good, so that probably didn’t help anything – and she didn’t move away. She put her hand on the inside of my thigh. It wasn’t really original or anything, but it certainly did the trick. I don’t remember who leaned in first.

So were you completely taken aback by it or what?

Yes and no. Part of me wanted to jump out of my skin and run out the door, because the first thing you think is, “Holy shit! I’m going to get into trouble.” But the majority of me was like, “All right, this is cool with me. Absolutely!”

How old was she?

She was in her 30s. If I had to guess, between 35 and 40.

And you were in your 20s?

My early 20s, yeah.

Had you ever fooled around or had sex with an older woman?

Yeah.

So with this professor … was it on the desk?

It was on the desk.

Did somebody wipe everything off the desk – you know, that whole dramatic desk-clearing thing?

(Laughs) No dramatic “whoosh,” but we did move some stuff out of the way, like stacks of ungraded papers … which she was like, “Don’t knock those over! Don’t knock those over! They’re in order!”

Did you use any dildos?

Nope, it was all hands and mouth. If she would have had toys already in her office, then I would have been really concerned.

Were there any academic props used? Maybe a ruler for spanking, pens, pencils?

So you guys finished up and you begin to put your clothes back on. Then what? Was there talk like, “This never happened”?

No, not at all.

Was it like, “That was great, let’s do it again”?

There was some discussion that it may have not been the best idea, but it wasn’t freaking out like, “Oh my god,” or anything like that. A lot of, like, “Are you OK with this?” and “We still need to work on the paper” (laughs).

Was she married?

No she was not. She had an adult child from years prior … but had been single for many years.

So she was not even in a relationship?

No not that I noticed. No ring, no pictures – and I looked!

So you two discuss the project needs work, then you leave. What were you feeling? Did you tell friends?

No I didn’t tell anybody. I didn’t freak out at all. I thought the sex was great. I was like, “You know what, I’ve made my decision: sex with older women is way better.”

Was it?

Yeah! I mean, I think so. Certainly like the cougar. That’s my demographic.

So you went home and fixed the project?

Yeah, and I got an A. But I didn’t know if the grade I got was because of the afternoon delight or because I did the work right. So I decided to transfer to another professor’s class.

In the meantime, had you been going to her class?

Yes.

What was that like? Was there any wink-wink?

No winks. A lot of eye contact. Intense eye contact.

Was it intimidating?

No. There was no balance-of-power thing going on. I wonder what she’s doing now.

So you transferred out, got an A.

She and I never did get together again, but we did remain friendly. We didn’t hang out or anything.

She never asked to see you again?

No, but she made a comment that, if something more were to happen it would be up to me. I think she felt kind of guilty for initiating it the first time. And I was involved with somebody else by that time. It kind of seemed more like a stress reliever, tension-breaker encounter.

How was that on your naughty scale?
