LOS ANGELES (TNA) – Although conventional wisdom suggests that women go into porn if they’ve been abused or neglected, porn up-and-cummer Jenna James says, in her case, it was just the opposite.

In fact, she says one reason she became a sex worker is because her parents loved her too much.

“My mom and stepfather are great people who really raised me right,” James said following her July 3 live chat with Naughty America. “But they almost loved too much. They were too caring and would ground me for anything. So when I became an adult, I was ready to prove they couldn’t control me anymore.”

That moment of truth came six years ago on James’ 18th birthday. That’s when this self-proclaimed nympho went to a strip club in the small Midwestern town where she grew up, got up on stage and won an amateur dancing contest.

“I was so excited and went home and fucked my boyfriend,” James said, adding that she soon became hell bent on exploring her wild side, and became a professional dancer in the process.

But dancing was more about pleasure than business.

“In the dressing room, all the girls were licking each other’s pussies,” James said. “It would start with two girls, then four and then we’d add a guy to the mix.”

James worked her way to Florida, where she made her way up the sex worker chain by doing bachelor parties, private one-on-one shows. Finally, she came to Los Angeles six months ago at the behest of controversial porn producer Max Hardcore.

“Max and I are business partners,” James said, adding that the Hardcore brand of porn, while hot for her, is too extreme for many fans and performers. “I think it’s hot, but many people aren’t down with it. You have to like doing it or it’s not worth it.”

For instance, James’ first film with Hardcore is coming out in a few weeks and she’s excited because it shows her gurgling her own urine.

“It’s stuff I’ve never seen or thought I’d do,” she said. “I can’t believe how kinky it is.”

Not surprisingly, she hasn’t told her parents about the film or her fledgling career.

“My parents are really proper,” she said. “I know I’ll have to tell them someday, but I don’t know how. On the other hand, my biological Dad – who is my best friend – knows what I do.”

The world of Porn Valley is still new to James, but she is happy that some of the skills she’s learned in her past, such as when she attended nursing school, are transferable to her new job.

“I attended nursing school for a while and it taught me how to treat people,” James said. “I have a great bedside manner. In this business, there are lots of women who are beautiful on the outside, but ugly on the inside. But if you treat people with respect, you’ll get hired more.”
