NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif. (TNA) – Would you wear a penguin costume to a stranger’s birthday party for $100? Or film a woman having sex with her lover and mail the footage to her ex-boyfriend for $500?

A new Web site, GreedyPeople.com, gives greedy Americans to meet folks who will pay them cash to all sorts of naughty things.
Those are two of the offers posted on a new Web site, GreedyPeople.com, which wants to know just how far people will go for money.

GreedyPeople.com is a social networking site that allows members to post activities they would like other members to carry out for money. Chick Ciccarelli, site founder, believes that today’s tough economic conditions will bring out the very greediest in people.

"In any economy, there are people who have money and people who need money,” says Ciccarelli. “This is especially true in a recession. GreedyPeople.com simply brings those people together and allows them to have a little fun while also overcoming difficult circumstances.”

A recent look at the Web site found numerous bizarre offers. In one posting, for example, a member from Miami offered to shine someone’s shoes or test their food, for the low price of $1000. Why? “Because I am really greedy and want a lot of money,” the member explained.

Another member is offering to climb to the top of a building, any building. “The more you offer, the higher I go,” the member adds.

The site allows members to create personal pages and befriend each other. Members, if they wish, may leave testimonials on another member’s page. For example, a member named Semion left the following laudatory comment for a member named Yulka:

“Warning! This is an extremely greedy person!”

Ciccarelli notes that the site isn't just about the money. Creativity is encouraged, and there are monthly prizes for the most outrageous offer. Visitors submit votes and the site keeps track of those who make the most money as well as send and receive the most offers.

As greedy “Wall Street” character Gordon Gekko said, “Greed is good,” and the site embraces its greedy roots by publishing a list of the “Greediest People on Earth.”

Interesting article. Yes, the site does encourage creative offers (which are often naughty). But mainly its about money. As much money as everyone can get their greedy little hands on.
