SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) -- Here's a celebration we can all get behind: August is "National Anal Sex Month."

One company that's bending over backwards to celebrate the cheeky month is San Francisco-based sex toy shop Good Vibrations.

Spokesperson Jonathan Plotzker says their goal is to break down stereotypes through anal awareness.

He says anal activity among straight couples used to be kept a secret because guys didn't want people to think they were gay for liking it up the keester.

"All males have butts," he explained. "Your butt doesn't discriminate on the basis of orientation!"

These days, booty taboos have gone out the window and Plotzker now gets dozens of straight couples asking for anal advice.

"I suggest some smaller toys to begin with and to talk with your partner about using fingers to start off," he suggested. "And don't forget plenty of lube!"

He also says it's important to take a deep breath and relax before intercourse, and to always remember that practice makes perfect.
