Nudists Pack Bare Minimum For 'Nakations'

KISSIMEE, Fla. (Wireless Flash) -- Traveling nudists pack the bare minimum when they go on "Nakations," but they NEVER forget the sunscreen.
Nakation is a term coined by the American Association for Nude Recreation (AANR) defined as: "To take a clothing optional vacation, away from home for pleasure and recreation. The part of your vacation you'll brag to your friends about."

AANR members Carolyn Hawkins and Steve Vickers say Nakations are meant to be fun, free, and festive experiences, and have suggestions for the perfect nakation destinations.
They cite nude cruises to tropical beach locations like Hawaii as great nakation getaways, along with the clothing optional hotspot Haulover Beach in Miami, Florida.
And although travelers are meant to pack lightly for their nude trip, Vickers insists they bring plenty of suntan lotion.
"The sun is much stronger in tropical locations so you definitely want to bring sunscreen," Vickers said. "You don't want to be in pain from sunburns during your nakation."
Hawkins suggests stuffing a few more essentials into a small bag for your naked travels.
"Bring a Tilley Hat for protection and a towel for sanitary purposes," he said. "If it all fits in a carry-on bag you don't have to wait in line at the airport baggage claim!"
