Moms Learn The Power Of The Pole

SAN FRANCISCO (Wireless Flash) -- An exotic dance studio in San Francisco is teaching regular women the power of the stripper pole.

More than 10,000 women have taken pole dancing classes at Slinky Productions in San Francisco.

Since 2000, Slinky Productions has taught nearly 10,000 women the foundations of exotic dance by offering classes in pole dancing, lap dancing, floorshow, and stage dancing, but founder Catherine Rose insists the exotic instruction isn't just for strip club wannabes.

"We have some students interested in becoming dancers, but it's also for mothers and career women looking to reconnect with their sensuality, feel empowered, and spice up their relationships," she said.

Rose's sultry dance lessons also offer benefits beyond the bedroom, including increased upper body, core, and leg strength.

And while some women are shy about showing off their stripper style at first, Rose says that quickly changes.

"I'm always delighted to crack them open and move them through their nervousness into a playful place where they feel sexy and alive in their bodies," she said.
