Pub Pranks Are A Huge Hit On April Fools' Day
MARCH 31, 2008
SAN DIEGO (Wireless Flash) -- All it takes to pull the perfect prank this April Fool's Day (Apr. 1) are a few beers and some gullible buddies.
Ed Decker is a San Diego-based mixologist who offers a few wicked ways to prank your friends at the pub on April 1.![]()
EdwinDecker.com Ed Decker says the No. 1 cocktail for April Fools' Day is the 'Cement Mixer,' a shot that combines Bailey's Irish Creme and lime juice that solidifies in the throat.
Decker recommends putting a marble in someone's beer, which will cause foam to shoot out the top.
"The best is to do it to two or three people's beers and then pretend like there's an earthquake," he said.
Decker stands by the trick of tracing a quarter with a pen and then challenging your friend to roll it down his nose, which leaves you laughing while your buddy is inked-up and ignorant.
The "Cement Mixer" -- a shot combining Bailey's Irish Creme and lime juice that solidifies in your throat -- is still the go-to April Fools' cocktail, and Decker offers a warning to those who fall for the prank.
"If you fall asleep with your shoes on, it means you passed out, and you're fair game for all kinds of humiliation," he warned.
