STORRS, Conn. (Wireless Flash) -- One college student is taking begging for beer money to a whole new level.![]()
Beerfund.org The college students behind beerfund.org protect their precious suds with a cardboard machine they call 'Coronabot.'
Ben Robera and his roommates at the University of Connecticut have launched beerfund.org, a website that allows people to donate money to their personal alcohol fund, and vote on which drinks the guys should purchase at the end of each week.
Those who donate can vote in both liquor and beer categories, and can put their names on the wall of fame for helping the binging boys.
Robera and his beer buds have gotten donations ranging from a quarter to $16.75, but they welcome donations of all amounts and Robera has plans to post the total amount of money the guys have gotten on the site soon.
But if the cash stops coming, the future could get pretty grim for the college kids.
"If we get a lot of money by April Fool's Day, we'll change the site to the coke fund as a prank," he said. "If we're not doing so hot, we'll call it the meth fund."
