Miss High Times More Than A Pretty Pothead

NEW YORK (Wireless Flash) -- It takes more than a pretty face to be a pot pageant queen.
The Miss High Times Pageant is hitting Negril, Jamaica, from February 23-26, and eight bong-hittin' babes are vying to be named "High Times" magazine's 2008 "smokesmodel."
HighTimes.com Emmaly is one of the women who will be competing to be Miss High Times, which takes place Feb. 23-26 in Negril, Jamaica.
According to pageant coordinator Bobby Black, a true High Times hottie is just a ganja-lovin' girl next door.
"We want a regular stoner chick who's got her s**t together, is chill, fun, and will rally for legalization, as opposed to just being pretty," he said. "We do pick pretty girls though."
The cannabis queen will be chosen after rounds of interviews, photoshoots, and a talent competition, where past participants have wowed judges with bongo playing, belly dancing, and by lighting a joint with their toes.
But Black says no swimsuit competition is necessary.
"They're pretty much in swimsuits the entire time, which is good," he said.
Though finalists were chosen last year by submitting photos and being named a "ganja girl of the month," Black says any dope diva can enter if she buys the pageant travel package off hightimes.com.
