Web Site Puts The 'Gross' In Grocery Store
MARCH 3, 2008
SAINT PETERS, Mo. (Wireless Flash) -- A new Web site is putting the "gross" in the grocery store.![]()
Groceryeats.com The legendary 'Big Mac Chicken' sandwich substitutes fried chicken breasts for the traditional sesame seed bun.
Newly launched, groceryeats.com has already posted pictures of dozens of outrageous eating experiments, including a BBQ pulled-pork pancake, deep-fried White Castle cheeseburgers, and a five-pound burger using pizza instead of bread for the bun.
Founder Jim Leabig tests nearly all the monstrous meals himself, including the "Koolickle" -- a pickle marinated in Kool-Aid, and the "General Tso's Philly Cheese Steak" -- but he's not adding any of the crazy concoctions to his regular diet.
"There's no way I could physically eat this sh*t everyday," he said. "It's super excessive."
And when it comes to the "Big MacChicken" -- a Big Mac with three pieces of chicken instead of bread -- Leabig adds, "I won't do that again."
Leabig's belly-busting plans for the site include a "Bring Your Own Sh*t to Fry" party, a fig and balsamic vinegar ice cream, and another try at the "Koolickle," which was "a total failure" the first time.
