'Deep Throat' Gets Artsy Makeover

James Salavon's art piece, 'The Grand Unification Theory' includes every frame of film used in the groundbreaking porn flick 'Deep Throat.'

Chicago-based artist James Salavon is helping people come out of the porn closet with "The Grand Unification Theory," an art piece he created in which he took every second from the classic porn flick "Deep Throat," shrunk the images into still photos, and arranged them into an abstract pattern on a canvas.

While the abstract art is for adults, many curious kiddies have taken a liking to Salavon's naughty art.

"The woman who bought the piece told me she has to put brown paper over it because kids will look at it really closely to try and see the images," Salavon said. "At my shows I warn people about the content. I'm not making work for kids."

For those who aren't up to hanging explicit artwork in their home, Salavon also created a G-rated "Star Wars, Snow White," and "It's A Wonderful Life" version of the piece.
