LOS ANGELES (AP) -- A Los Angeles court commissioner has denied a request from Britney Spears' divorce attorney to issue a gag order in the pop star's child custody dispute with ex-husband Kevin Federline.AP Photo/Dan Steinberg, file An attorney who claims to represent Britney Spears has filed papers to move her conservatorship case from the Los Angeles County Superior Court to federal court, but legal experts question whether his legal strategy is viable and whether he can represent the troubled pop star at all.
Attorney Anne Kiley argued Tuesday that media coverage was dangerous to Spears "emotionally and physically."
Kiley contends the court should prohibit attorneys from discussing the case with the media and not publish the dates and times of hearings and dispositions.
Federline's attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan says a gag order won't stop paparazzi from following Spears.
Federline and Spears were not present at the hearing before Superior Court Commissioner Scott Gordon.
